Have Riders bought their Arena? I thought it was council owned. Agree Kevin R and Vince should be in the conversation. If your referring to the recent BBL show interview I just listened to it and thought the same thing? I thought only the Eagles owned their own arena and Riders was by the council. I saw a notification on Instagram the other day telling me the Eagles are running some sort of Jurrasic Park show in August during the off season as well. |

Pretty sure Eagles charity foundation are the legal owners but as part of the club this makes the Eagles the only organisation to outright own their Arena. If memory serves the only other club previously to own was Derby Storm and the misnamed Thunder Dome. I vividly remember players trying to warm their hands using the heat from the shotclocks. I kid you not. If anyone can get a hold of RammieB he will confirm. It was the only venue worse than Granby Halls. Not a criticism, teams played where they had to. Also remember having a pint or two with Bob Bhania after away games. I think Brighton but not sure. Always happy to explain calls to fans and never hid. Top man in my book.
