spotted that - not great for either team, which means not great for a professional sport and pro athletes. 5hr min set aside for coach to get from Ellesmere Port to Glasgow so game finishes 9.30pm earliest Glads set off 10.30pm so 'home' 3am and due back in arena for 1pm? Phoenix need to plan to set off 7.30am so not many hrs in bed post first leg either not really giving either team a fair shot of putting in a strong performance for the paying spectators and watching online audience and some folk think BBL should be looking at best of three series? Looks like at moment struggling to do 2 legged games with decent recovery for athletes. What a shame, a 36 game hard fought competition resulting in two teams having about 18 hours to: Caledonian Shower get changed, jump on a coach and travel 4 hours. Get home recover have 6/7 hours sleep get back to the arena and play again. Nix Shower get home get 6/7 hours sleep, report again travel 4 hours and play again. AND THEN ONE TEAM/CLUB IS FINISHED FOR THE SEASON!! Paul O Grady wouldn't have let his dogs do it. Either that or Phoenix travel to Glasgow straight after the game Friday and sleep as long as possible there. Weirdly the turn around is worse for Glasgow.

Sad to see everyone writing the Eagles off, but with French out I can't disagree. With him and both Mockford and Ubiaro finally improving, we had a chance of not only beating London but doing the whole Billy Mimms. My only question now is will this be Darius's curtain call or is he up for yet another attempt at his 28th trophy next season?

I'm not going to write the Eagles off until I see the team on Friday I think what helps us is we have nothing to lose. Plus last time we played them at home if it wasn't for some rubbish officiating then we probably would have beaten them that night too. I reckon we could atleast win the 1st leg. Although having said that what makes Lions way more dangerous then last season is the fact this Lions team actually respects the BBL. Last season as soon as Lions went out of Europe I felt they were never motivated until the playoffs started hence why they won nothing and finished 3rd. Whereas this season some of the Lions players I feel actually compliment the BBL and are impressed with this league. So I reckon it is going to be tough and it makes them more enjoyable to support and watch because of that respect.

Still a lot of surprise about Nix having to play their two games so close together Lions have approx 70 between tip off times. Bristol have the same 70 hours. Riders have about 46 hours
Phoenix have 19 including travel and sleeping time!!!!

One idea would be to hire one or two band tour coaches with onboard sleeping acomodation so the players can be resting, on a flat bed, whilst traveling.

So would flying up but fortunately Phoenix as a club always have one eye on finances. Besides can't think of any of those buses around our area, don't think Lofty's have one!!!
