Unbelievable performance from the Scorchers this afternoon. Great way to send off the season. McFolley getting 6 consecutive 3s en route to a cool 38 was a really highlight. Some great fan interaction after the game too. Great day!

Big day today, Toon up first then what should be a winnable game v Plymouth. With this Eagles team you never know though. Win and I have one more home game. Two trouncings a very real possibility but I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers Billy Mims Riders. Qualified eighth then went on to win the Play-offs. It's the hope that gets you. 😂 Best of luck to all teams today. 👍 Indeed I do recall that lovely final! |

Great performance by the Eagles today and apart from French getting injured.
Looked like we were really up for it and both Gordon and Mockford look like their finally hitting their stride and stepping up.
And now that we finished 8th place whilst I was hoping we would finish slightly higher up the table.
Atleast I can safely say and confrim that this Eagles team is now much better then what it was last season.
Although despite a brilliant game today we're certainly going to need to hope French wasn't badly injured and we have Hamlet back or else we'll be defeated come the end of the 1st leg.
However after having our faith crushed it's great to see us end the season on a high these past few games.
Who knows maybe we might suprise Lions!

Nix vs Riders.
Great game last night between 2 teams with literally nothing but pride to play for.
Both confirmed as 5th & 2nd but made for a very entertaining, free flowing game.
Ben's T was a bizarre one, as he was upset with a call that was proven to be wrong anyway.
Always impressed with the Riders away following, travel in good numbers and make plenty of noise.
I just hope the new improved attendances at Nix continue next season, seem to have gotten bigger as the years gone on.
Great to see.

I loved the fact that Rob gave the Riders bench plenty of playing time on Sunday,
And didn’t they take their chance well,
Sometimes a game on little importance can be a great game to watch, This did not disappoint.
Hope these guys enjoyed their minutes because they may not get a lot Vs Sharks.

So a coach is given a T complaining about a call, refs then discuss the call and decide it was wrong. Surely the T should be rescinded? Wonderful year for Nix and crowds, great atmosphere very few spaces left to sit in. Ive spoken to so many people in the last few months who were attending their first game and loving it. |
