Some posters on whatsbev have been asking for a link to this forum..... I PM'd one of them but now others (some with only one post) are asking for it too......advice please.

Post the link IMO If anyone joins and starts personal abuse or nasty stuff delete their posts and ban them at same time Who are the mods on here? Just need enough to be active each day to keep everything nice and friendly and on topic And everyone just show respect |

Am still finding it a bit of a nuisance to have to take the extra step of logging in every time to this site, whereas WhatsBev is appealingly a step quicker to access.
Now things are bedding down can the removal of this extra step be considered?

It should let you stay logged in? I use the site on both my phone and laptop and both are signed in on every visit already, same as WB? Do others find they get logged out after every visit?

I like to clear all the cookies and crap that accumulate after each use, especially if I have made any transactions online.
So for me, and anyone else who is similarly online-wary, this means I am automatically logged out of everything.
Needing to type the login and password each time might just be enough of a nuisance to put people off the site.
I'm mad for it yet this extra step has been enough to put me off from posting more regularly, so thought needs to be given to the cost/benefit of removing this onerous matter. Surely we're not still overly worried about who uses the site.
There used to be (in the opinion of Mrs S.) the most fabulous crockery shop in Worcester, but it was very off-putting that the owner insisted on following his gaze on every customer as if they were likely to be about to rob him.
In the end Mrs S stopped going in there, and (haha) the store eventually closed down.
What's the point of a magnificent product if no one can buy it?

Hmm, I think what you mean is that you can't even read the site unless signed in? We changed that because somehow a couple of posts from unregistered users appeared even though it was set to be that you need to be signed in to do so.
Happy to change it back now but you'll still have to sign in to post, obviously.

Ok I've changed it back so you can view if not signed in/registered. Hopefully it will be ok this time - if we start getting unregistered posts again I might see if Zetboards can help as that setting is definitely off!

I only use on my phone Stays logged in but every month or so as on whatsbev seems to log me out and I have to sign back in I just assume I've been banned when that happens! And always a relief when it lets me sign in again! |

Previously I would be logged out after 24 hours. I put it down to the login having a time limited cookie. This week however, I've stayed logged in throughout. Heyho, it's all good.
Go on Sam, give him a warning. You know you want to 😜😇

I think sometimes its the device you're using as well, how its set for websites and logins etc. The only warning I can give IRF at the moment is that coach Rob might be gone soon despite his 4 year deal.  |
