What a gritty, resilient performance by Riders. Like Keegan, I loved beating Manchester! Fabulous win, given how we didn't have one of our Americans either. Mackenzie & Jackson brilliant.

Leicester continue to slide Naa, not at all. The last ten games are 9-1 The team last year was one of the greatest in the clubs history. The mercurial talent of Geno has gone and despite the early growing pains, the Riders have found a gritty consistency (in process also having Washington injured). |

Fair play to Riders for grinding it out but that felt very like Giants beating themselves. 24 points from the line, goodness knows how many unforced turnovers and some absolute rot in open court. Really dispiriting stuff.
On the upside Roberson was great until he fouled out. But who’s this guy in the Dirk Williams costume?!

Sharks with a disastrous start and end to the half demonstrating that they just don't have the starting personnel or depth to compete in the BBL right now. As a fan of both it's really sad to see RGJ & Ratinho unable to make any sort of positive effect on recent games, don't know if it's through overuse or injury. The bright sparks tonight have definitely been Sako and Ogunyemi - when they are on the court together we've competed. 60 points with 14 coming from the free throw line = 46 in open play. Agreed, not good enough. |

Although I'm not too bothered about the scoring if we defend, I did hope this skid was just a blip while Nelson was out. But it appears to have completely shattered the confidence of our key players - RGJ and Ratinho are committing more turnovers than taking shots while Banks is crazily trigger happy. I was very happy with the returnees over the summer, but only Surrey has more losses now and I'm afraid we're getting to the point where a complete reboot is required. |

Don’t worry about the terrible calls that the refs were making……
The biggest crime of the night were the deadly due of Vince and Nigel both wearing cheep suits and white sneakers
And for goodness sake will someone buy Vince a belt for Christmas…… he must pull his trousers up around 300 times a game

I was cheering for Giants up until the 4th Quarter where I felt they let themselves down deserved to lose it for poor discipline and sportsmanship. That Roberson ejection to me deserves to be a suspension considering he almost stood on Jacksons head! And after rewinding it back it was completely uncalled for. I give full credit to Jackson for not wanting to square up to him after that. For the referees to wipe Mackenzies free throw because the wrong player shot for a disqualifying foul then not allow Leicester another shot as well made no sense to me either? And for Taj Green to knock Nelson Henry to the ground and then taunt the cry baby to the crowd showed a real lack of class. Apart from that it was a great match up between two teams just before the Christmas holidays. I imagine there will be no love lost next time these 2 teams meet up. And real Xmas treat for any first time BBL viewers too. |
