Surprised anyone Is surprised about this Honestly unless he was step away or let go or we recruited a GB head coach closer to home this was bound to happen especially with the game in Newcastle again. After the past 2 home games being predominantly away supports I hope this game attracts more GB Supporters this time.

Yes it makes sense, no I don't like it. Nate has been unavailable for a long time now, is he ever coming back?

But I agree with your overall point, to say he’s even part-time would be a stretch. He coached GB against Turkey and Lativia at home as well as during the Eurobasket campaign. But let's be honest if your a player or coach in the NBA then your team is unlikely to let you go or expect you to abandon your NBA team so you can travel half way round the world to go play 2 matches for your country. Unlike the last match where Lativia had Porzingas due to their being no NBA season I doubt Serbia are going to show up with Nikola Jokic. If they did though we'd probably need a bigger arena for fans since he's the 2 time consecutive NBA MVP. I imagine for this game similar to the Germany and Greece games in Newcastle Serbia and Lativa will probably send either B or C team to play us this time round.

GB basketball have said they are entering junior teams so is there even a story, let alone an 'exclusive'?
quote box link removed as it was spam from a previously banned troll.

Censoring the article in question with that quote is beyond embarrassing and pointless.

It wasn't an article, it was spam and the link didn't even work.

The article in question is of interest though isn’t it.
The junior teams aren’t guaranteed to be entered this summer which is a bare minimum expectation for the governing body that they didn’t manage to meet last year.
Steutel is being messed around massively and is announced as HC three weeks prior to the game but none of that’s discussed on here because you don’t get on with who wrote it so class it as spam.

Bit more to it than that Sam, and as said - link didn't work anyway and it wasn't to an article. If its a big topic then there'll be other sources out there reporting it, sounds to me like the details aren't fully known yet though and it's all speculation.

If a governing body are refusing to confirm participation in junior tournaments at this stage it is already a story whether you like the source or not.

It's not about the source - we have the story right there from GB, and we'll know more next week. People who are banned from here trying to sneak back in to promote themselves with links that dont event work, will be dealt with. That doesn't mean folk can't discuss the story. I'm sure everyone agrees it would be a disgrace if they don't enter the Junior teams.

whats a disgrace is summer 2022 there were only 4 teams and not 6 at youth and 1 team and not 2 at senior whats a disgrace is with Regional/National Academy in Scotland and Aspire in England already underway there are even questions about what the national programs drive towards and if there are 6 or 4 or zero GB entries for 2023 whats a disgrace is the financial commitments that players had to make in 2022 to represent GB, the efforts the team managers had to make to scrape some fundraising together and meanwhile the federation couldn't even get a sponsor for the senior men let alone better support the youth squads whats a disgrace is its so close to the next window before an announcement made about the coach for the window - and unlike previous similar announcements there is no mention of the person believed to still hold the formal role of head coach
On the positive side the Eagles organisation have stepped in and provided a bit of continuity at least for the squad when it comes to a home court and having a crowd to play in front of.
