Recruitment for us this year has been absolutely shambolic, there's no other way to describe it. I think questions have to be asked about what the process is. Is choosing players done by the coach only or are there other people involved? If it's only Steutel working on it, I'd be slightly less concerned. He's in his first year and hasn't recruited at this level before. Coaches have to gain experience somehow and what better way than just doing it. If someone is pulling the strings and have been for some time, questions need to be asked as we've only had what I would consider to be good (championship winning capabilities) players for one season (2020-2021) in the past 5-6 years. There is very little info out there, so we're left joining the dots. I'd always had a suspicion it was down to extra costs of building the arena. If this was a fact I'd be more than happy, as it's the best in the league and worth investing in. More than anything I feel bad for the players concerned, it's so tough. Not a great look for the club reputationally either, this revolving door of players. The 20/21 team finished fourth in the League losing 12 games That's the very worst a club of Eagles calibre should be expecting to achieve in the League in a season IMO Yet that's been the best effort in recent years? |

Perhaps he could tell us how close we are to the record number of signings in one season - any silverware if we break the record ?

Are you guys sure Dave isn't still involved in decision making of any kind at Eagles?
I thought I read on here he can be seen sitting with the owner at matches
Or was that just a one off?

He's still heavily involved with the club but not at pro level. He's a part of the team that are smashing it at grass roots level. |

Rumour has it he volunteers to jet wash the name tiles by the entrance that punters paid for, there’s 1 looking a bit grubby mind |

When did Dave Forrester step back from his role with the BBL side of the club?
I beleive he did most of the background work on recruitment while Fab was coach.
Perhaps that is the change that has led to the current situation?
