I'd prefer the 2004 Bears that won the league - jeez that was a loaded team. Kendrick Warren, Rico, Yorick, Drew Alleyne, Jason Siemon, Randy Duck, Mike Brown...no wonder they finished top! By the time Rodman came in the roster wasn't as strong, though it was cool having him there. As I was part of the staff at the time we got to go out drinking with him, that was something! He was obviously way out of shape and past his best on the court though!

That was the team Eagles travelled all the way down to Brighton to beat in THE 2005 Trophy final to get our first of 27 bits of silver/glassware.
Happy memories !

That would have been the following season, although some of the players were still there but we suffered catastrophic injuries which derailed the season sadly. That trophy final was dreadful, really one sided and low scoring.

Obviously Plymouth Raiders but if we were to bring back a team where a franchise no longer exists id go for the Edinburgh Rocks so that theres 2 teams in Scotland Still the same franchise

Wouldn't mind resurrecting the Kingston Kings too just to see how good they actually were back in the day. Plus I lived in Kingston for 5 years so have some affiliation. I used to go watch Kingston Wildcats in the NBL sometimes but they weren't great.

Looking back at the 87-88 season It’s an absolute mile away from where we are now, So many teams that have disappeared to never return.
Birmingham Bullets Bolton & Bury Giants Bracknell Tigers Calderdale Explorers Crystal Palace Derby Rams Hemel & Watford Royals Kingston Kings Leicester City Riders Livingston (Murray) Manchester United Oldham Celtics Portsmouth FC Solent Stars Sunderland 76ers

15 teams though, bit more like it. I wonder why Sunderland were called the 76ers? That seems odd. Manchester United? Sheesh...

I imagine Leicester Riders vs Leicester City Riders might be a bit confusing.

They were formed in 1976 and went on to be the most successful team of all time They did? I don't see them on the roll of honour boards as having won anything in the top flight? But the BBL didn't form til 1987 so we're they successful prior to that in the national League? Can't find much about them online.

Theyre now called Newcastle Eagles mate To be fair 'Eagles' had NINE different names involving Sunderland before becoming Newcastle Comets and then Newcastle Eagles! So their history is a little difficult to track. And yes, I had to go to wikipedia to get that count.
