In Manchester they dont have the previous Plymouth owners as partners - the stories at the time implied that relationship broke down and also is that acrimonious situation not why its Raiders name replaced by Patriots. that be a factor plus other arena options in Manchester that Plymouth doesn't have?

To my knowledge: Jamie hasnt ever owned the team. Hes disqualified as a director and had proxies on the ownership docs. Said proxy was about to have the franchise withdrawn by the league thus selling in principle to Vincent Mac. Vincent Mac has some interesting friends who made a tits of it in Plymouth who want to invest with him. League arent keen on the idea and the takeovers still undergoing due diligence. Vince has got AIPs with the players Giants have announced and the takeover just needs the rubber stamp and all will be rosy with the world. So atm, its still Edwards proxies owning the club, but the official line is "hes focussing on other projects". A serial charlatan. My biggest question around all this, assuming we're correct, is what the Turks see in Manchester that they didn't see in Plymouth? They were all in with their purchase of Plymouth Raiders, only to abandon ship shortly afterwards. But here we are, a year later and they're back investing and going all in on a British basketball team again! In their eyes, what's Manchester Giants got that Plymouth Raiders didn't? What has Manchester Giants got that Plymouth Raiders didn't? 1. A basketball arena 2. A great big arena, the Manchester Arena, for European games. 3. An international airport. 4. A great big city of potential fans, and potential sponsors.

Also Manchester has a D1 team and five D3 teams. Plymouth has just one D3 team. Plymouth is a great place for a BBL team but Manchester has a lot more potential for a team that plays in Europe.

Vince actually mentioned he’d been talking with them about big game opportunities once they open next year. He defo wants to build another European team.

That Co-op Live Arena looks amazing, like a giant Copper Box Arena.
I have copied this from its Wikipedia page.
In addition to live music and entertainment, the developers propose basketball, netball, tennis, Esports and gymnastics as sports that could be hosted within the dimensions of the arena floor, and for which there was not, at the time, an appropriate larger venue in Manchester capable of hosting championship events. With lower tier seating retracted, the floor would accommodate a standard ice-hockey pad. For events configured with a centre-stage or using the arena floor, there will be additional upper tier seating on the East side; above and behind the normal end-stage position.
