With 1 week to go until the next GB Window I thought I would make this thread.
When we played Greece at home last November we beat the 78-69 on Tyneside. Although with no NBA season their could be a stronger unit out for them if Giannis wants to play for Greece again.
I wonder if this game will be televised anywhere?

The home game was on BBC Red Button, would be seriously dissapointed if the away game isn't shown also. Failing that maybe Fibas YouTube? Got to be some serious interest if the Euroleague players (and potentially Giannis) are playing.

Tbh I'm hoping it's on catch up as I don't finish my work until after 6 that day but will definitely watch it back if on.

Giannis has 2 brothers who also play in the NBA, albeit sparingly. Perhaps all 3 will suit up? I don't see how we'd stand a chance if that happened!

Not quite, Thanasis does get some end of bench minutes on the Bucks, Alex is/was with the Raptors G League team but has never played in the NBA, and Kostas plays in France although he did play for the Lakers for a short period All good players but honestly I don’t think any of them would be in consideration for the NBA if they werent Giannis’ brother

Anyway the game has sold out, good going once again Newcastle, it’s a bit of a shame for us southerners, But as long as they keep selling out I don’t think anyone can moan too much if they keep getting games up there, I wonder if there will come a point where they want to try the bigger arena in Newcastle, I just had a look and it’s almost twice as big and if they’re only selling out now I am guessing they are not quite ready yet but with a bit more promotion and what not I think they could make it worth it

But surely if someone is even getting fringe minutes and are on an NBA roster, they'll be very good at the international level?

Similar back in the day when Rocks played at Braehead, because the court is smaller than the rink, you just never got that 4 sided close to the court feel you got with the eagles or the clan games.

Any news on where to watch this and the Turkey match? bit.ly/3AdxeEJ£10 for the privilege unfortunately, pretty depressing GB are on one of the best runners in their history, and two very big and important games against strong teams don’t even make it to the red button or even free on YouTube but they took it away on PPV

With no Fifa World Cup, Premier League or NBA Their is literally naff all on asides from Wimbledon to which although I don't really follow Tennis on I heard our best prospects crashed out of today as well. Its ashame really, while the BBL coverage is improving looks like our National team missed out this time.

But agree ridiculous its not been picked up by anyone since there's not much other live sports on TV other than Wimbledon.

Well i paid the annual fee months ago, so im sorted. Will be catching the replay after work tonight, hopefully they dont take too long uploading it. And will be getting the beers in for a marathon of basketball on sunday night.
No point thinking about this as a first round game for us any more, and with Slovakia practiacally out in Group A, its time to look as this as a Group I game. Seeing as Belarus were kicked out FIBA have announced that the 4th placed Group A results wont count in Group I, meaning the Group looks something like this...
Greece 2-1 Latvia 2-1 Serbia 1-1 Great Britain 1-1 Turkey 1-2 Belgium 1-2
Top 3 qualify

Good first half by the look of the stats, the less said about the second the better
