Well I got my first half of the series prediction right - I fancied 2 each in both venues. I was then thinking the home team to win each of the last 3 games, but I'm not so sure now - Boston seems to be at their best responding to a loss, so could they nick game 5? I'm going to say yes!

Me too - should have stuck with my original prediction! I thought when the C's came back to take the lead they might hang on but credit GS for powering through that, they started the 4th really well and never looked back.

Celtics must take better care of the ball in the next game. Momentum is with GSW though. Won handsomely without Curry performing well.

Boston ran out of gas partly because of tremendous defence by GSW who made Celtics turnover the ball way too many times. Worthy champions.

Yes in the end GS won it with defence. Can't argue they were the better team across the series, ok a bit dull seeing them win again but they are good to watch. I do like that they've proven they can win before KD and after him as well - it just strengthens the 'passenger' label he has on his titles!
With the finals MVP now in his collection, the question is how high on the all time greats list does Curry sit? I think he's top 10 now for sure. I place him above the likes of West, Robertson, Kobe.
Lets see who most people would agree are top 10 all time - MJ, Bird, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Lebron, Duncan - and this is where it gets a bit more difficult but I would put Curry and Giannis in at this point.
Also, how about Steve Kerr with 9 rings, not bad for a guy who was essentially a bench player of limited means in his playing days!

I've decided its impossible to compare different eras All you can do is be greatest player of your own era He's achieved that IMO With LeBron being greatest of the era just before him I've decided omparing against different eras is unfair on all concerned Although in all sports involving athleticism we tend to have seen improvement over time But with modern day training and sports science someone like Magic or Jordan would have advantages compared to when they trained as well Hence you can't compare |
