British Team of the Year is the first announcement:
No disrespect to any of those chosen
But I feel Conner Washington is very unlucky not to be chosen for this
Every coach in BBL needs a Conner Washington in their squad

I actually agree with that IRF. Has Dan Clark actually been that good? He seems to be injured a lot and when he is playing spends most matches moaning at the referees constantly. Should Rod Glasgow have been in there? He's technically British.

The guy has used maths to prove a player who has a negative impact on offense should win lol

I don't know exactly how 'True Points Added' is calculated but I suspect it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Whether it has some merit or not, I think using any one of these 'advanced' formulas, in isolation, to determine who's good and who's not is going to lead you to some false conclusions. It strikes me that anything which involves +/- (and I think this does?) is going to heavily favour players on good teams, especially one as statistically dominant as Riders have been this year.
Just basic numbers these, none of that clever advanced stuff, but the 7 pts and 2 assists per game Conner has averaged this season doesn't sound much like TOTY material to me. His role has actually shrunk a fair bit this season. For all the success Riders have had, the roster is a little guard heavy in my view, and Conner has ended up playing his fewest mpg since 2013/14. I'm not saying he's suddenly become a worse player this season but I do think that he's been less important to the side than he has been for some time. Largely due to the number of good/decent guard options we have.
If you're determined to find a Riders snub on this season's British TOTY I'd have thought Mo Walker would be the best candidate. Just basic numbers again but per minute, he's been about the most productive big guy in the league, British or otherwise. Realistically though, I think anyone playing less than 20 mpg has their work cut out getting into one of these end of season teams.

Congratulations to Rob, well deserved. In the picture he looks like he's just been told Marc Steutel has signed for the Eagles 😁.

Yep well deserved - over the season he is miles ahead of other contenders. However you are wrong about the picture - thats him just turned to the table and checking with them that a ref really did have the audacity to give him a T

🏆Congratulations to Leicester Riders floor general Geno Crandall, who has been awarded the Molten BBL Player of the Year, as voted for by BBL Head Coaches, becoming just the fourth player to win the award in back-to-back seasons.
It’s not been a bad season for a small town club like us.
