I am hoping TNT in the UK will continue to broadcast the NBA - it sounds like it will be in some other countries. Otherwise it's back to League Pass for me. I like watching Inside the NBA, it's a combination of interesting analysis and foolish banter.
Meanwhile, the Celtics did indeed stop the Cavs' win streak at 15, but only just!

I like watching Inside the NBA, it's a combination of interesting analysis and foolish banter. They won’t. From the 2025/26 season Disney, NBCUniversal, and Amazon have 11-year global rights deals (with the exception of a few minor territories). So here in the UK that translates to 11 years of NBA on Sky Sports (owned by Comcast, who also own NBCUniversal) and Amazon Prime. As Disney have no suitable outlet in the UK to utilise their rights (in the US they’ll use ABC and ESPN) they’ve opted to sell them to Comcast and Amazon, so we’ll get ‘boosted’ games packages on Sky Sports and Amazon compared to other countries. Along with the games included in a standard Amazon Prime subscription, Amazon Prime will also be the new home of NBA League Pass (just like how DAZN is now the home of NFL Game Pass), still available as a premium subscription service. Full details of who gets what in these new 11-year global rights deals is listed here. Remember, for us here in the UK where it says ‘Comcast/NBCUniversal/NBC/Peacock’ read Sky Sports, and where it says ‘Amazon Prime’ read Amazon Prime. And where it says ‘Disney/ABC/ESPN’ that’ll be split across Sky Sports and Amazon Prime. www.nba.com/news/nba-media-agreements-2024

That's interesting - I may have to swap TNT for sky sports then, if its a similar cost to do so! I have got Amazon Prime but I'm assuming League Pass won't be free on that, there'd be some kind of additional charge to pay for it? Sounds like there will be various options to explore anyway, which is good. But TNT do a very good job with the NBA and have loads of other shows on like NBA Originals, NBA Action, On Fire, and they show old classic games. I hope Sky/Amazon are able to maintain all of that too.

And yes, NBA League Pass will still be a premium subscription service (as it is now) when it moves into the Amazon Prime app. But as part of Amazon's global rights deal they'll be loads of games included in their standard Amazon Prime subscription - even more so in the UK than other countries as they'll also have half of the games Disney will hold the global rights to. I'm somewhat surprised Amazon didn't save 'Inside the NBA'. It's great that Disney have, but it does mean it might not be available in the UK (unless Disney agree to also sell it along with their actual games rights to either Sky or Amazon).
