I remember being at a Riders Awards evening and seeing Rob announce Eric as his coach's MVP

And saying he was the dream player to coach due to the attitude he brought to work every single day etc

This isn't a token gesture

It's clearly heartfelt. Naming coach's MVP award after Eric really is the perfect tribute for him
