Pretty remarkable really. Given the parking cockup I thought we might be looking at a very poor turnout for this one. Don't know where everyone parked but there weren't many in the college car park when I wandered past.
Hopefully a sign of things to come though it's hard to imagine ripping people off for parking having anything other than a negative impact on attendances in the long run.

I have attended practically all previous such games and none of them came close to matching this one's attendance figure. I wondered whether the televised Olympic basketball this summer had persuaded some people to try watching a live game.

It's not free at Bristol,well not in the carpark next to the arena. I thought it was but got fined as I did not have a ticket. I'm not aware of where the free parking is. For future reference: www.bristolflyers.co.uk/gameday-guide/getting-to-sgs/The Flyers have a deal with a local business to offer free parking for games. I think they also print details on the tickets now. |

I've had both experiences at Bristol, parking is easy and free at a local business arranged by Flyers 5-10 mins walk.
I also put the wrong registration in at the college when I was rushed, realised it but didn't want to admit it as I'd have missed the start. Owned up at the end of the game but the wife's wasn't amused!!! Took ages to talk a way out of it with the car park management company.

Better off getting the tube than driving to the Copper Box! No free parking anywhere near the Arena. |
