So will it be 4 x 8 = 32 games?
Just saw a table from the 90's when there was a 9 team league, played 24 games

Hopefully the playoffs will remain best of 3 series this season. It would be good if the league could put out prospective dates for each round along with the full fixture release.
Would be a bad look for 8 of 9 teams to qualify so I hope they adopt the same PO system as the National League in football. Top two progress straight to semis (get a week’s break too) while 3rd-6th play a QF series.
If we are looking at just 32 league fixtures, I hope we get a beefed up mid season cup competition. I’d also like to see a straight knockout competition with the top NBL teams but I guess that’s less likely at this stage.
Very sorry to see the Plymouth franchise fold. I hope and expect supporters will rally around Raiders in the NBL and hopefully they can return to the elite set up sooner rather than later. The fans down there deserve it as much as any other team.

I'm sure there's a joke here somewhere about a Plymouth fan making league tables without London in it last season and here we are with Plymouth not being in the official one this season, but I won't make it.
The loss of any team is bad news and it makes for a worse league. I hope they can get something together down there because there's certainly the market for a pro team.

Yes there's a market and an ecosystem but there's no suitable venue. Someone needs to come forward with a business plan and investment that includes an indoor sports arena.

I've seen pictures from the Raiders venue (life centre is it?! Where they had the recent all star game), and tbh if they got money for a few bleachers it's doable. Appreciate its not straight forward like.

Delighted that there is a pro league for 24/25. sad to see another team lost though.
Cup idea - 9 pro teams plus either top 3 nbl teams or 3 invites (NBL winners / Scottish leage winners / Irish league winners). 4 groups of 3 so everyone has a home and away game. top 2 in each group through to QFs. Group winners have home QF. Every group game is important and some different teams.

The salary cap has been reinstated too........
Its now £500k.
I'm not sure if that includes the coaches salary and the two highest paid Brits. The old salary cap excluded these. (I thought the old salary cap was £250k).

Yes I remember the old salary cap being £250k for players' salaries excluding 2 highest paid, which I don't think is enough for a professional basketball team. £500k is enough for a professional full time squad, but difficult for London.

Appreciate its not straight forward like. If there is a possibility for Raiders to step back into the landscape then I think Plymouth fans should get behind that. After all they were the BBL team for 16 years… it would be unreasonable to only view them as the Div3 team they are currently playing. I commend them for coming back and doing what is sustainable… clearly proven again now with Pats news that a Super League team in Plymouth is not possible until the venue situation is resolved. Raiders deserve a place in high level basketball off their history alone. Venue issue still exists but agree what has been made of the Life Centre even for the Div3 set up is fantastic for fans in the City.

I disagree, no one should be given a spot just because of history.

As a die hard Raiders fan I disagree too. We're d3 and need to climb back to d1. With a city the size of ours, it's probably about where we should fit.
A strong nbl1 with fans of about 1000 per game should be the aim, that's about where plymouth should be
