Eagles to beat Giants
As for Gladiators V Lions, it depends which Lions team is sent that far North
Looking at the next two weeks of games. Watch out for the Eagles. Think they have Gladiators twice in quick succession coming up. With games in hand they may be able to steal 3rd from the Glads

Not really any easy games in the BBL tbh However the fact they are all playing against each other makes it more exciting. Think Eagles will have the best of Gladiators atm

Giants at home should be straightforward enough but this is the first of four games in eight days for Eagles, including trips to Scotland and Denmark. Certainly not my idea of any easy run. I reckon Riders have a friendlier schedule the rest of the way.
If Lions thought it was worth putting out a full strength side against us last week, I'll be pretty annoyed if they don't give Gladiators similar treatment tonight. They've got four days off before their EuroCup quarter final and after that they won't play again for at least 13 days.

There'll be a lot of Nix supporters pretty annoyed as well if Lions take the foot off the gas.

Excellent win for Eagles, Whitfield with an almost perfect game with a single free throw his only miss. Looking at statcast Caledonia blowing it big in the fourth.

Lions put out a strong side and had to play a get out of jail free card, Caledonia, who rested some, were unlucky to lose that.

Well for the Eagles tonights match was a lot of fun and would say for all the teams between 6th-8th fighting for a playoff berth. All I can say is don't worry, their is no way this Giants team is coming back to steal 8th spot from anyone.
If 777 do inevitably go bust and walk away then this Manchester team is almost like a glimpse of what Lions could potentially turn into if they survive.
At times we looked a little to relaxed but ultimately had control and looked a lot stronger then what we were last week. It was great to see us share the minutes and watch the team have fun at the end of the game.
To see our kid player Kande strip a veteran player like Nick Lewis of the ball. That was us pretty much saying forget the post game shower just get on the bus home now. We also must have ran circles round Robertin under the basket which caught him out countless times.
The only thing I wished the Eagles improved on would be free throws as we still seemed off with them. But asides from that theirs not alot I can say other then what a performance from Devin Whitfield who got a high number of points.
As for everything else I realised tonight that suprised me was the price of food at the arena. I only got food for tea since I came straight for work for tonight and £35 for a hotdogs, chips, a Pepsi and a water makes me realise exactly where we got the money to afford such experienced BBL players.
Overall though great win for the Eagles. Hopefully we can get another one over Glads on Sunday and go to Denmark with momentum ahead of our rematch against the Bears!

Great win at the VMA tonight- good to see all round performances with 10 players on the scoresheet and no injuries - when did that last happen ? Also good to see Steutel really fired up when Eagles were taking their foot off the gas in Q3 - we'll need 40 minutes of effort in every game from now on. Most of all Devin Whitfield - WOW !

Am I right in thinking a win against the Gladiators on Sunday will put you third as you have played less games?

right up till Moore picked up fouls 4 and 5 - thought the makeshift lines might have picked up an upset win for Glads but Lions were already shutting the Gladiators offence down in P4 prior to those fouls and they just were the final closing of the door on the chance of a win.
If its the same squad on Sunday, going to be interesting to see if they can slow down a high scoring Eagles as can only see a home win if they can keep it to low 80s as most

Am I right in thinking a win against the Gladiators on Sunday will put you third as you have played less games? I honestly wouldn't know but I would love us to finish either 2nd or 3rd just so we won't have to face a boring home game against the Lions at the VMA. One thing I forgot to mention was the officials tonight looked a little inexperienced and made a few questionable calls in the 1st half like an odd jump ball and how Robertin was able to get to the free throw line despite not in the act of shooting or Eagles over the limit? I also don't understand why Scott Spencer had to remove his underlayer but for Jammal Anderson he was fine to keep his on? That was the point where I questioned if they knew what they were doing at all. However I will say this it did seem like the refs let both team play tonight and hustle instead of blowing every tippy tappy foul. Also I wonder where Evan Walshe was for the Giants as they were certainly missing him to?

Same happened at Leicester last week where Cam Holden had to remove his T-shirt he usually wears under his game to. Yet Teddy an Limbal were fine
